新加坡国土虽小
深入其中
才知风貌之盛
这里传统华人商街纵横交错
却不乏各国外籍客工
龙蛇混杂之地
却也是莲花清净乡

这样穿街走巷
似乎才与大地接轨
不知道自己是否属土
但实实在在感觉地气
芽笼芽笼
取名源自工厂
还是鸡笼？

注：工厂马来语称为 Kilang. 因当时此处有大量椰林和柠檬草种植园，衍生出许多以此为原料加工的厂房。

Geylang, a place nourished with all kind of lifestyles. Rows of traditional shops and flooded with foreign workers from various countries. A red light area, yet a place with many religious institution, forming a unique part of Singapore. Not sure how it obtained its name? From Malay 'Kilang' or Hokkien 'Chicken Cages'?
